sauerkraut
drained and rinsed

chicken broth

Instructions
Sear the pork in a skillet with olive oil until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
Layer sliced onion and minced garlic in the bottom of the crockpot. Sprinkle caraway seeds, black pepper, and salt over the onions.
Place the seared pork on top, followed by the sauerkraut, chicken broth, and sliced apples.
Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the pork is tender and easily shredded.
Shred the pork with two forks and mix it back into the sauerkraut and apples. Serve hot.
Notes
This dish pairs well with crusty bread or mashed potatoes.
