Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 1 small green bell pepper finely chopped
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns

Method
 

STEP 1: BROWN THE MEAT
  1. Cook the Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef or turkey until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add Vegetables: Stir in the chopped onion and green bell pepper, cooking until they are softened, about 3-4 minutes.
STEP 2: COMBINE INGREDIENTS
  1. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the cooked meat mixture with ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly coated.
STEP 3: SLOW COOK
  1. Transfer to Crockpot: Pour the mixture into your crockpot. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally.
STEP 4: SERVE
  1. Prepare Buns: When ready, serve the sloppy joe mixture on hamburger buns. Enjoy the deliciousness!
