Ingredients
  

  • 4 fillets Halibut fillets About 6 oz each, fresh or thawed if frozen.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil For greasing and drizzling.
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh lemon juice Adds brightness to the dish.
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon zest Enhances the lemon flavor.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced, for flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano For seasoning.
  • 1 teaspoon Dried thyme For seasoning.
  • to taste Salt For seasoning.
  • to taste Pepper For seasoning.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh parsley Chopped, for garnish.
  • as needed Lemon wedges For serving.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil.
  • Place the halibut fillets in the baking dish and drizzle with olive oil and fresh lemon juice.
  • Sprinkle the fillets with lemon zest, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, and pepper.
  • In a small bowl, combine lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, oregano, and thyme. Stir well.
  • Pour the lemon and herb mixture evenly over the fillets, ensuring they are well coated.
  • Bake the halibut in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  • Remove from the oven and let it rest for a minute before serving. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
