Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Unsalted butter Softened to room temperature.
  • 2 cups Granulated sugar Adds sweetness and moisture.
  • 4 large Eggs Room temperature for better mixing.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract Enhances flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon zest Freshly grated for vibrant flavor.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh lemon juice For tangy flavor.
  • 3 cups All-purpose flour Provides structure to the cake.
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder Leavening agent for the cake.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda Helps the cake rise.

Lemon Glaze

  • 1/4 cup Fresh lemon juice For the glaze.
  • 1 1/2 cups Powdered sugar Sweetens the glaze.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then mix in the vanilla extract, lemon zest, and lemon juice until combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the sour cream. Start and end with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then turn it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  • While the cake is cooling, prepare the lemon glaze by whisking together the lemon juice and powdered sugar until smooth.
  • Once the cake is completely cool, drizzle the lemon glaze over the top and allow it to set before slicing.
