Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups All-purpose flour Provides structure and chewiness.

  • 1 teaspoon Sugar Feeds the yeast for better rise.
  • 1.5 cups Warm water Activates the yeast; should be around 110°F.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil Adds richness and moisture.

Method
 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, instant yeast, salt, and sugar. Mix thoroughly with a whisk or fork.
  2. Create a well in the center of the dry mixture and pour in the warm water and olive oil. Stir gently with a wooden spoon until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a lightly greased bowl. Cover with plastic wrap or a kitchen towel and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  5. Once risen, punch down the dough to release air bubbles. Divide it into two equal portions for two medium pizzas or keep it whole for one large pizza.
  6. Roll out the dough to your desired thickness on a floured surface. Transfer to a pizza stone or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Add your favorite toppings and bake in a preheated oven at 475°F (245°C) for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
