  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • Floured surface
  • Baking sheet or pizza stone
  • Plastic wrap or kitchen towel

Ingredients

  • 4 cups All-purpose flour Provides structure and chewiness.
  • 2 teaspoons Instant yeast Helps the dough rise quickly.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Enhances flavor and controls fermentation.
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar Feeds the yeast for better rise.
  • 1.5 cups Warm water Activates the yeast; should be around 110°F.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil Adds richness and moisture.

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, instant yeast, salt, and sugar. Mix thoroughly with a whisk or fork.
  • Create a well in the center of the dry mixture and pour in the warm water and olive oil. Stir gently with a wooden spoon until a sticky dough forms.
  • Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a lightly greased bowl. Cover with plastic wrap or a kitchen towel and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  • Once risen, punch down the dough to release air bubbles. Divide it into two equal portions for two medium pizzas or keep it whole for one large pizza.
  • Roll out the dough to your desired thickness on a floured surface. Transfer to a pizza stone or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Add your favorite toppings and bake in a preheated oven at 475°F (245°C) for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
