Method
- Prepare the sugar rim by adding 2 tablespoons sugar to one shallow bowl and lime juice to another. Dip the rim of the glass in lime juice, then into the sugar to coat.
- Prepare the rosemary garnish by rinsing the sprig under water briefly, then tap it into a bowl with 2 tablespoons sugar until coated to look snow-dusted.
- Fill a cocktail shaker one-third full with ice.
- Add vodka, Cointreau, lime juice, and cranberry juice to the shaker. Place lid on and shake vigorously for 15 seconds until well combined and chilled.
- Add ice to the prepared sugar-rimmed glass.
- Strain the cocktail mixture over the ice, filling glass about three-quarters full, then top with club soda.
- Garnish with dehydrated orange slice (if using) and sugar-coated rosemary sprig. Serve immediately.
Notes
For batch-making (5 servings): Combine 150mL vodka, 150mL Cointreau, 75mL lime juice, and 300mL cranberry juice in a glass bottle and refrigerate. When serving, add to glasses with ice and top with club soda. Non-alcoholic version: Replace vodka with additional club soda and use orange juice instead of Cointreau. For sweeter cocktail: Use ginger beer or ginger ale instead of club soda.
