Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, smoked paprika, chili powder, cayenne pepper, and black pepper. Add sliced chicken and toss to coat evenly. Let marinate for 10 minutes while preparing the sauce.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken strips and cook for 5-6 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and fully cooked. Set aside on a plate.
  3. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn.
  4. Pour heavy cream and chicken broth into the saucepan, stirring constantly. Add salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Let the mixture simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, mixing until smooth and fully incorporated. Remove from heat and set aside.
  6. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook ramen noodles according to package instructions, typically 3-4 minutes. Drain thoroughly.
  7. Toss the drained noodles with 1 teaspoon sesame oil to prevent sticking and add authentic flavor. Set aside.
  8. Divide the ramen noodles between two serving bowls. Spoon the creamy garlic sauce generously over the noodles.
  9. Top each bowl with the fiery chicken strips, sliced green onions, shredded carrots, and a halved soft-boiled egg. Garnish with sesame seeds and nori strips.
  10. Serve immediately while hot and enjoy your restaurant-quality fiery chicken ramen at home.

Notes

Control the Heat: Adjust cayenne pepper and red pepper flakes to your preferred spice level. Start with less and add more if desired.
Noodle Options: Fresh ramen noodles elevate this dish significantly, but dried ramen works perfectly well.
Protein Variations: Substitute chicken thighs for extra juiciness, or use pre-cooked rotisserie chicken tossed in the spice blend for an even quicker meal.
Cream Alternatives: Half-and-half or coconut milk work well as lighter substitutes for heavy cream.
Vegetarian Version: Replace chicken with crispy tofu and use vegetable broth in the sauce.
Flavor Boost: A squeeze of fresh lime juice brightens the entire dish and balances the richness.
Parmesan Tip: Use freshly grated Parmesan for the smoothest sauce; pre-grated can result in grainy texture.
