Ingredients
  

Filet Mignon

  • 2 steaks Filet mignon About 6 oz each, tender cut of beef.
  • to taste Salt For seasoning.
  • to taste Pepper For seasoning.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil For cooking the steak.
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter For basting the steak.

Shrimp and Lobster Cream Sauce

  • 1 cup Cooked shrimp Peeled and deveined.
  • 1 cup Lobster meat Cooked and chopped.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil For cooking the sauce.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream For the sauce.
  • 1/2 cup Chicken or seafood broth For the sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice For flavoring the sauce.
  • to taste Salt For seasoning the sauce.
  • to taste Pepper For seasoning the sauce.
  • to taste Fresh parsley Chopped, for garnish.

Instructions
 

  • Pat the filet mignon steaks dry with paper towels and season both sides generously with salt and pepper. Let sit at room temperature for 15 minutes.
  • In a medium skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and chicken or seafood broth. Stir well and bring to a gentle simmer. Allow the sauce to thicken slightly.
  • Add the cooked shrimp and lobster meat to the sauce. Stir in lemon juice and season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for another 3-4 minutes until heated through.
  • In another skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned filet mignon steaks and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
  • During the last minute of cooking, add 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter to the skillet and baste the steaks with the melted butter.
  • Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5-10 minutes.
  • To serve, place the rested filet mignon on a plate and generously spoon the shrimp and lobster cream sauce over the top. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
