Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour Provides structure and softness.
  • 1 tablespoon Baking powder Leavening agent for fluffiness.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda Works with buttermilk for rise.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Enhances flavor.
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted butter Cold and cubed for flakiness.
  • 3/4 cup Buttermilk Cold, adds flavor and tenderness.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture and cut it in until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Pour in the cold buttermilk and stir gently until just combined.
  • Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently 2-3 times until it comes together.
  • Pat the dough into a rectangle about 1-inch thick and cut out biscuits using a biscuit cutter.
  • Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
