Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, instant yeast, salt, and sugar. Mix well.
Add warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Stir until a shaggy dough forms.
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
Punch down the dough, shape it into a loaf, and place it seam-side down on a baking sheet dusted with cornmeal. Cover and let rise for another 30-45 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Score the top of the loaf with a sharp knife.
Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack before slicing.
