Ingredients
  

Pasta

  • 8 oz spaghetti or linguine Choose your favorite pasta type for a satisfying base.

Shrimp

  • 1 lb large shrimp Peeled and deveined for easy cooking.

Butter

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter Adds a creamy richness to the dish.

Garlic

  • 4 cloves garlic Minced for robust flavor.

Red Pepper Flakes

  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes Optional, for a nice kick.

Salt and Pepper

Broth

  • 1/2 cup chicken or vegetable broth Helps create a flavorful sauce.

Parsley

  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley Chopped for freshness.

Lemon

  • 1 lemon Juiced for brightness.

Parmesan Cheese

Instructions
 

  • Boil water in a large pot, add salt, and cook the spaghetti or linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  • Pour in the broth, bring to a simmer for 2-3 minutes. Return shrimp to the skillet, add drained pasta, and toss together. Add reserved pasta water if needed.
  • Stir in lemon juice and parsley, adjust seasoning, and serve hot with grated Parmesan cheese on top.

Notes

Use fresh shrimp for the best flavor. Be careful not to overcook the shrimp to avoid a rubbery texture.
