Ingredients
  

  • 8 ounces Spaghetti or linguine Choose your favorite pasta type for a perfect base.
  • 1 pound Large shrimp Peeled and deveined for easy cooking.

  • 1/2 teaspoon Red pepper flakes Optional, adds a nice kick to the dish.

Method
 

  1. Prepare all ingredients: peel and devein shrimp, mince garlic, chop parsley, and juice lemon.
  2. In a large pot, bring salted water to a rolling boil. Add spaghetti or linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
  3. Before draining, reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water. Drain the pasta and set aside without rinsing.
  4. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Add shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
  6. Pour in reserved pasta water and lemon juice, stir to combine, and let simmer for a minute.
  7. Add cooked pasta to the skillet, toss gently to coat with the garlic butter sauce, and stir in chopped parsley.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with additional parsley and grated Parmesan cheese.
