Ingredients
  

  • 500 g large shrimp Peeled and deveined.
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter For the sauce.
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil For sautéing.
  • 4-5 cloves garlic Finely minced.
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes Adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon salt To taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper To taste.
  • 1 whole lemon Juiced.
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley Chopped, for garnish.
  • 300 g spaghetti or linguine Cooked al dente.
  • 1 sufficient salted water For cooking pasta.

Instructions
 

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain, reserving some pasta water.
  • In a large skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, but not browned.
  • Add shrimp, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes until shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  • Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the shrimp and stir well.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything together. If the mixture seems dry, add some reserved pasta water.
  • Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, add grated Parmesan cheese or white wine while cooking the shrimp.
