Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin steak cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 tablespoons butter divided
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley chopped for garnish

Equipment

  • large skillet
  • Spatula or tongs
  • Plate

Method

  1. Season the steak bites with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Add the steak bites in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and the minced garlic. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant and golden.
  3. Reduce the heat to medium and add the heavy cream to the skillet. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and cook until the sauce thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss to coat them in the sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until heated through.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Ribeye or filet mignon can be substituted for sirloin. Use high-quality Parmesan cheese and fresh garlic for best flavor. Ensure skillet is hot before adding steak bites for perfect sear. Do not overcrowd the pan. Best served fresh.
