- Rinse the salmon fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, then stir in the lemon juice and zest. Simmer for a minute and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Place the salmon fillets in the skillet, skin-side down if applicable. Cook for 4-5 minutes without moving, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until cooked through.
- Drizzle the garlic lemon butter sauce over the cooked salmon fillets and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Serve immediately.
