Ingredients
  

Chicken Marinade

  • 1 pound Boneless, skinless chicken breasts The main protein for the tacos.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil Helps to marinate the chicken and adds flavor.
  • 2 teaspoons Chili powder Adds a spicy kick to the chicken.
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Enhances the flavor profile of the marinade.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder Adds depth of flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder Contributes to the overall taste.
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning the chicken.
  • 8 small Corn or flour tortillas For wrapping the grilled chicken.

Lime Cilantro Salsa

  • 1 cup Fresh cilantro, chopped Adds freshness to the salsa.
  • 1/2 medium Red onion, finely chopped Provides crunch and flavor.
  • 1 medium Jalapeño, seeded and minced Adds heat to the salsa.
  • 1 lime, juiced Lime juice Brightens the salsa.
  • to taste Salt For seasoning the salsa.
  • 1 medium Tomato, diced Adds sweetness and color.

Instructions
 

  • In a medium bowl, mix together olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
  • Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, ensuring they are evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.
  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat for about 10-15 minutes. Clean the grill grates with a grill brush.
  • Remove the marinated chicken from the refrigerator and place it on the preheated grill. Cook for 6-7 minutes on one side without moving.
  • Flip the chicken and grill for another 6-7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  • Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it into strips.
  • While the chicken is resting, warm the tortillas on the grill for about 30 seconds on each side.
  • Assemble the tacos by placing a few strips of grilled chicken in each tortilla and topping with Lime Cilantro Salsa.
  • Serve with extra lime wedges for squeezing over the tacos.

These tacos are versatile; feel free to customize with your favorite toppings like avocado, sour cream, or hot sauce.
