Ingredients

  • 2 pieces Salmon fillets 6 oz each
  • 1 cup Fresh pineapple cut into 1/2-inch rings
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Ground ginger
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro optional, for garnish

Equipment

  • Grill or Grill Pan
  • Shallow dish for marinating
  • Brush for oil

Method

  1. Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, honey, garlic powder, ginger, salt, and pepper. Pour marinade over salmon. Cover and marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Cut pineapple into 1/2-inch thick rings and brush lightly with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  3. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  4. Place salmon skin-side down on grill. Grill for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and flaky.
  5. While salmon cooks, grill pineapple rings for 2–3 minutes per side until caramelized.
  6. Remove from grill. Serve salmon and pineapple hot, garnished with cilantro if desired.

Notes

Use fresh, high-quality salmon. Don’t overcook to preserve moisture. Substitute pineapple with mango or peaches for variety.
