- Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, honey, garlic powder, ginger, salt, and pepper. Pour marinade over salmon. Cover and marinate for 15 minutes.
- Cut pineapple into 1/2-inch thick rings and brush lightly with olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
- Place salmon skin-side down on grill. Grill for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and flaky.
- While salmon cooks, grill pineapple rings for 2–3 minutes per side until caramelized.
- Remove from grill. Serve salmon and pineapple hot, garnished with cilantro if desired.
Notes
Use fresh, high-quality salmon. Don’t overcook to preserve moisture. Substitute pineapple with mango or peaches for variety.
