Ingredients
  

  • 500 g beef steak e.g. flank steak or ribeye
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil For the marinade.
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice For the marinade.
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced.
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin For the marinade.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika For the marinade.
  • 1 teaspoon salt For the marinade.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper For the marinade.
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder Optional, for added heat.
  • 8 small tortillas Corn or flour tortillas.
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro Chopped.
  • 1 cup onion Finely diced.
  • 1 cup tomatoes Diced.
  • 1 each avocado Sliced.
  • 1 each lime Cut into wedges, for serving.

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, mix olive oil, lime juice, garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, pepper, and chili powder (if using) to create the marinade.
  • Place the beef steak into the marinade and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, ideally 2 hours.
  • Preheat the grill to high heat.
  • Grill the marinated steak for 4-6 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until desired doneness is achieved. Let the steak rest for 5 minutes after grilling.
  • Warm the tortillas on the grill or in a pan until lightly browned and warm.
  • Slice the steak thinly against the grain.
  • Assemble the tacos by placing sliced steak on each tortilla, then top with cilantro, onions, tomatoes, and avocado slices.
  • Serve the tacos with lime wedges on the side.

Notes

Feel free to add your favorite salsa or hot sauce for extra flavor. These tacos are perfect for a summer BBQ or a casual dinner.
