Steak Ingredients

  • 500 g Beef steak (sirloin or tenderloin) Choose a tender cut for best results.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil For marinating the steak.
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika Adds color and flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Enhances the flavor profile.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder For added depth of flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder Complements the garlic flavor.
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning the steak.
  • 8 small Tortillas (corn or flour) For serving the tacos.

Corn Salsa Ingredients

  • 300 g Fresh corn (or 1 can of drained corn) Provides sweetness and crunch.
  • 1 small Red onion, finely diced Adds sharpness to the salsa.
  • 1 small Red bell pepper, diced For color and sweetness.
  • 1 small Jalapeño, seeded and finely diced (optional) For heat, adjust to taste.
  • 1 Juice of Lime Adds acidity and brightness.
  • to taste Fresh cilantro, chopped For freshness.
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning the salsa.

Instructions
 

  • Marinate the steak by mixing olive oil, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Rub the mixture onto the steak and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Prepare the corn salsa by combining fresh corn, diced red onion, diced red bell pepper, jalapeño (if using), lime juice, chopped cilantro, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl. Mix gently and set aside.
  • Preheat the grill to high heat. Grill the marinated steak for about 4 to 6 minutes on each side, depending on thickness and desired doneness. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness (medium-rare is 130°F/54°C).
  • Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes. Slice the steak into thin strips.
  • Warm the tortillas on the grill or in a skillet until slightly browned. Assemble the tacos by placing sliced steak in the center of each tortilla and topping with corn salsa.
  • Serve the tacos on a platter and enjoy with your favorite toppings.
