- In a medium-sized bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and olive oil. If using ginger, add it in as well. Whisk until well blended.
- Place chicken in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for best flavor.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Remove the chicken from the marinade and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- While the chicken is baking, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer for about 5 minutes to thicken.
- Once the chicken is done baking, brush the thickened sauce over the chicken. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
