Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 pounds Boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts Cut into bite-sized pieces.
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch For coating the chicken.
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil For cooking the chicken.
  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 1/3 cup Honey Provides sweetness.
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce Adds savory flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons Rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar For acidity.
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil For flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chili flakes Optional, for heat.
  • to taste Sesame seeds For garnish.
  • to taste Chopped green onions For garnish.

Instructions
 

  • Gather all your ingredients and prepare them for cooking.
  • In a small bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and chili flakes to create the marinade.
  • Place the chicken pieces in a large bowl and pour half of the marinade over them. Let it marinate for about 10 minutes.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook for about 5-6 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in the remaining marinade and bring to a simmer, allowing the flavors to meld.
  • Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss it in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve warm over rice or noodles.
