Method
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking dish with aluminum foil for easy cleanup, or use a large baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, lime juice, and minced garlic until well combined and smooth.
- Place the salmon fillets in the baking dish and season each fillet generously with salt and pepper.
- Spoon the honey-lime garlic mixture generously over each salmon fillet, making sure to coat them well.
- Place lime slices on top of the fillets for added flavor during baking.
- Transfer the baking dish to the preheated oven and bake the salmon for 15 to 20 minutes, or until it flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for 2 to 3 minutes to allow juices to redistribute.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro or parsley before serving.
Notes
For best results, use fresh salmon and freshly squeezed lime juice. The glaze can be prepared ahead and refrigerated until ready to bake. Salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
