Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound Ground beef Choose 80/20 for the best flavor and juiciness.
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce Tamari can be used for a gluten-free option.
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil Adds a nutty flavor that enhances the dish.
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced garlic brings a wonderful aroma.
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger Fresh ginger adds a zesty kick.
  • 2 stalks Green onions Chopped, these add freshness and color.
  • to taste Salt and pepper To taste, these seasonings balance the flavors.
  • 2 cups Cooked rice Use jasmine, basmati, or brown rice for a hearty base.

Optional Ingredients

Instructions
 

  • Prepare all ingredients: rinse rice, chop vegetables, mince garlic and ginger, and chop green onions.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  • Drain excess fat if necessary. Add minced garlic and ginger, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Stir in soy sauce and sesame oil, then add chopped green onions. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for a couple of minutes.
  • Assemble the bowl: spoon cooked rice into bowls, layer with seasoned ground beef, and add any optional vegetables.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds, extra green onions, and optional fried egg. Serve with sides like kimchi or pickled vegetables.
