Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil Helps to sear the chicken.
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter Adds richness to the sauce.

  • 1 none Zest of lemon Enhances the citrus flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Dried thyme Adds earthy flavor.

Instructions
 

  • Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the butter and let it melt.
  • Add minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for about one minute until fragrant.
  • Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, thyme, and rosemary. Cook for another minute.
  • Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 6-7 minutes on one side until golden brown.
  • Flip the chicken breasts and cook for an additional 6-7 minutes until fully cooked.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet with the sauce, spooning the sauce over the chicken. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately.
