- Prepare all ingredients: peel and devein shrimp, mince garlic, chop parsley, and zest and juice the lemon.
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a rolling boil. Add linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
- Add the cooked linguine to the skillet with shrimp. Pour in reserved pasta water, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Toss gently until well combined.
- Remove from heat, stir in chopped parsley, and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
