Ingredients

  • 1 lb jumbo shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted and divided
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 3/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese finely grated
  • 1/2 tsp salt (for topping)
  • 2 tbsp butter melted (for topping)
  • Fresh parsley finely chopped, for garnish

Equipment

  • 9x13 inch baking pan
  • Large mixing bowls
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Pour white wine and 2 tbsp melted butter into a 9×13-inch baking pan. Place in oven for 10 minutes to reduce.
  3. Mix remaining 2 tbsp butter, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Toss shrimp in this mixture.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine panko, Parmesan, 1/2 tsp salt, and 2 tbsp melted butter.
  5. Remove baking pan from oven and arrange shrimp in a single layer.
  6. Sprinkle panko topping evenly over shrimp.
  7. Bake for 12 minutes until shrimp are opaque and slightly pink.
  8. Switch oven to broil on high for 1–2 minutes to crisp the topping. Watch closely.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Avoid overcooking shrimp for best texture. Use freshly grated Parmesan and fresh garlic for optimal flavor. Best served hot straight from the oven.
