Ingredients
  

Salmon Fillets

  • 4 fillets Salmon fillets Approximately 150 grams each.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil For drizzling over the salmon.
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder Adds flavor to the salmon.
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika For seasoning.

Maple Glaze Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons Maple syrup Provides sweetness to the glaze.
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce Adds umami flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard For tanginess in the glaze.
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh lemon juice Adds acidity to balance the sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh ginger Grated, for a hint of spice.

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, combine maple syrup, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and grated ginger. Mix well to create the marinade.
  • Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag. Pour half of the marinade over the salmon, ensuring each fillet is well coated. Cover or seal and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 200 °C (400 °F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Remove the salmon from the refrigerator and place it on the prepared baking sheet, skin side down. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • Pour half of the remaining marinade over the salmon. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  • Halfway through cooking, drizzle the rest of the marinade over the salmon for added flavor.
  • Once done, let the salmon rest for a few minutes before serving.
