Salmon Fillets
  • 4 fillets Salmon fillets Approximately 150 grams each.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil For drizzling over the salmon.

  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder Adds flavor to the salmon.
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika For seasoning.
Maple Glaze Ingredients
  • 4 tablespoons Maple syrup Provides sweetness to the glaze.
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce Adds umami flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard For tanginess in the glaze.
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh lemon juice Adds acidity to balance the sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh ginger Grated, for a hint of spice.

Method
 

  1. In a small bowl, combine maple syrup, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and grated ginger. Mix well to create the marinade.
  2. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag. Pour half of the marinade over the salmon, ensuring each fillet is well coated. Cover or seal and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat your oven to 200 °C (400 °F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Remove the salmon from the refrigerator and place it on the prepared baking sheet, skin side down. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  5. Pour half of the remaining marinade over the salmon. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Halfway through cooking, drizzle the rest of the marinade over the salmon for added flavor.
  7. Once done, let the salmon rest for a few minutes before serving.
