Equipment

  • baking dish
  • meat thermometer
  • grill or skillet
  • Plastic wrap or resealable bag

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Chicken Breast Boneless and skinless for a lean option.
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil For marinating and cooking.
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice Adds acidity and flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Enhances flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder Adds depth to the marinade.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt To taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper To taste.
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Herbs (e.g., parsley, thyme) Chopped, for garnish.

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) or prepare your grill for medium-high heat.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  • Rinse the chicken breasts under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Trim any excess fat.
  • Place the chicken breasts in a resealable bag or bowl and pour the marinade over them. Ensure each piece is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • If baking, place the marinated chicken in a baking dish and cover with foil for the first half of the cooking time. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  • If grilling, grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, checking for doneness.
  • Once cooked, let the chicken rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs and serve with your favorite sides.
