Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  • Stir in the melted butter, baking soda, and salt into the mashed bananas.
  • Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  • Gradually fold in the all-purpose flour until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the chopped walnuts.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  • For the frosting, beat together the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth.
  • Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  • Add milk as needed to achieve desired frosting consistency.
  • Once the banana bread is completely cooled, frost the top with the cream cheese frosting.
