Method
- Pour 1 cup of warm (not boiling) water into your mug or glass.
- Stir in 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar.
- Squeeze the juice from half a lemon into the mug. If using a juicer, strain out any seeds.
- Add ½ teaspoon of freshly grated ginger (or powdered ginger).
- If using, stir in 1 teaspoon of raw honey until it dissolves.
- Stir all the ingredients together thoroughly for about 15-20 seconds.
- Allow the drink to rest for about 5 minutes to help the flavors meld together.
- Drink immediately.
Notes
Best enjoyed first thing in the morning on an empty stomach or about 30 minutes before a meal. Protect your teeth from acidity by using a straw and rinsing with water afterward.
