  • 1/4 cup Unsalted butter Melted for binding the crust.

  • 16 oz Cream cheese Softened for a smooth filling.
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar Sweetens the filling.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract Adds flavor to the filling.
  • 2 cups Whipped topping Like Cool Whip, for lightness.
  • 12 cookies Oreo cookies Chopped for the filling.

Method
 

  1. In a medium bowl, combine crushed Oreo cookies and melted butter. Mix until well combined and resembles wet sand.
  2. Press the Oreo mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9x9-inch baking dish to form the crust. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
  4. Gradually add granulated sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  5. Gently fold in whipped topping until light and airy, then add chopped Oreo cookies and fold until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour the cheesecake filling over the prepared crust and spread evenly with a spatula.
  7. Sprinkle crushed Oreo cookies on top of the cheesecake layer for garnish.
  8. Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours to set.
  9. Once set, cut into squares or bars and serve chilled.
