Ingredients
  

  • 6 pieces Chicken thighs Bone-in and skin-on for best flavor.
  • 1/4 cup Honey Provides sweetness and glaze.
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce Adds umami flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil For searing the chicken.
  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced for flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh ginger Grated for a fragrant touch.
  • to taste Salt For seasoning.
  • to taste Pepper For seasoning.
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds For garnish.
  • 2 pieces Green onions Chopped for garnish.

Method
 

  1. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper. Optionally, marinate for 30 minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken thighs skin-side down and sear for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Flip the chicken and cook for an additional 5 minutes until browned on both sides.
  5. Add any desired vegetables to the skillet, then pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken and vegetables. Reduce heat to medium and simmer for 10-15 minutes until chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F or 75°C).
  6. Remove from heat and sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
  7. Serve hot, drizzled with the remaining sauce from the pan.
