- Add rolled oats, milk, yogurt, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and chia seeds (if using) into a mason jar.
- Stir thoroughly—about 50 strokes—to combine everything evenly.
- For best texture, layer wet ingredients first, then add dry ingredients.
- Seal the jar tightly and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 6 hours. Keeps fresh for up to 5 days.
- Before serving, top with fresh fruit, nuts, or your favorite add-ins.
- Stir gently before eating. Enjoy chilled or warmed slightly.
Notes
Use old-fashioned oats for best texture. Add fruit in the morning to avoid mushiness. Greek yogurt thickens and enriches the oats. Shake or stir well before eating.
