- 8 slices of white bread or whole wheat, Texas toast
- 4 tablespoons butter softened
- ½ cup peanut butter
- ½ cup jelly any flavor
- Optional: ¼ cup chocolate chips or marshmallows for extra filling
Prepare the Bread:
Butter one side of each slice of bread. This will help the bread crisp up while cooking.
Assemble the Pudgy Pie:
Place a slice of bread, buttered side down, into the pie iron. Spread a tablespoon of peanut butter and a tablespoon of jelly on the unbuttered side. Add chocolate chips or marshmallows if desired. Top with another slice of bread, buttered side up.
Cook the Pudgy Pie:
Close the pie iron securely and place it over a campfire or grill. Cook for 3-5 minutes on each side, checking for a golden brown, crispy exterior. The filling should be warm and gooey.
Serve the Pudgy Pie:
Carefully remove the pudgy pie from the iron and let it cool for a minute before serving. Enjoy it warm for the best experience!
