Method

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  2. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  4. Sprinkle in the chili powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to meld the flavors.
  5. In a separate skillet or on a griddle, warm the tortillas over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.
  6. Assemble the tacos by spooning a generous amount of the spicy ground beef mixture into the center of each warm tortilla. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, and fresh cilantro.
  7. Repeat the assembly process for the remaining tortillas until all filling is used. Serve immediately.
