Method
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until translucent.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Sprinkle in the chili powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to meld the flavors.
- In a separate skillet or on a griddle, warm the tortillas over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.
- Assemble the tacos by spooning a generous amount of the spicy ground beef mixture into the center of each warm tortilla. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, and fresh cilantro.
- Repeat the assembly process for the remaining tortillas until all filling is used. Serve immediately.
