- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into 4-6 patties, about 2 cm thick. Set aside.
- Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and keep warm.
- In the same pan, melt butter and sauté the chopped onion and sliced mushrooms until soft and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Sprinkle flour over the mushroom mixture and stir to create a roux. Gradually add beef broth while stirring to prevent lumps.
- Add soy sauce, season with salt and pepper, and bring to a gentle boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Return the cooked patties to the pan, spooning gravy over them. Simmer for a couple of minutes to heat through.
- Serve the Salisbury steaks hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
