Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound Shrimp Peeled and deveined.
  • 1/2 cup All-purpose flour For coating the shrimp.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Enhances the shrimp's natural flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper Adds a nice kick.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garlic powder Provides savory depth.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Onion powder Adds sweetness.
  • 1/4 cup Vegetable oil For frying the shrimp.
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce Provides umami flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons Honey Adds sweetness to balance the saltiness.
  • 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar Provides tanginess.
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil Adds a nutty aroma.
  • to taste Dried herbs (thyme, optional) For added flavor.
  • to taste Chopped green onions (for garnish, optional) Adds freshness and color.

Instructions
 

  • Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels to ensure they crisp up nicely when frying.
  • In a shallow dish, combine the flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Whisk until well blended.
  • Dredge each shrimp in the seasoned flour mixture, ensuring they are fully coated. Shake off any excess flour.
  • Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp in batches, avoiding overcrowding.
  • Fry the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and place on a wire rack to drain excess oil.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. If using, add dried herbs.
  • Add the fried shrimp to the sauce and toss gently to coat evenly. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped green onions if desired.

Notes

Serve with dipping sauces and side dishes like steamed rice or stir-fried vegetables for a complete meal.
