Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound Shrimp Uncooked shrimp (31-40 per pound size), thawed and peeled, tails removed.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil For cooking the shrimp.
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder Adds warmth and flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Smoked Paprika For a smoky flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder Enhances the overall flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cumin Adds depth to the dish.
  • to taste Salt Enhances the overall flavor.
  • to taste Pepper Enhances the overall flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise For the taco sauce.
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream For the taco sauce.
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Lime Juice For the taco sauce.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt For the taco sauce.
  • 3 cups Cabbage or Coleslaw Mix Finely shredded for the slaw.
  • 1/3 cup Chopped Red Onions For the slaw.
  • 1 Jalapeño Pepper Finely chopped for the slaw.
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Cilantro Roughly chopped for the slaw.
  • 8 Corn Tortillas For serving the tacos.
  • to taste Avocado Sliced for topping.

Instructions
 

  • Thaw the shrimp by placing them in a colander and running cool water over them until fully thawed. Peel and remove tails, then pat dry with a paper towel.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, lime juice, and salt. Mix until smooth and creamy. Add cabbage, red onions, jalapeño, and cilantro. Toss until well coated.
  • Warm the corn tortillas in a skillet over medium heat or in the microwave for about 30 seconds.
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and season with chili powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 5 minutes until shrimp are pink and cooked through.
  • Assemble the tacos by placing shrimp on each tortilla and topping with jalapeño lime slaw and avocado slices.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious shrimp tacos!
