- Prepare all ingredients by chopping the onion, mincing the garlic, and measuring out the taco seasoning and water.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until soft and translucent.
- Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Increase heat to medium-high and add ground beef. Cook for 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart until browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat.
- Sprinkle taco seasoning over the beef, pour in water, and stir to combine. Allow to simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Warm tortillas in a separate skillet for about 30 seconds on each side.
- Assemble tacos by placing a spoonful of beef mixture on each tortilla and topping with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, avocado, and cilantro.
