Method
- Melt butter in a small bowl using the microwave or stovetop.
- Stir in minced garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker and pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over them.
- Squeeze lemon juice over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours, until chicken is tender and fully cooked (165°F internal temperature).
- Remove chicken and place on serving plate—either shred or serve whole.
- Spoon remaining garlic butter sauce over the chicken.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
Notes
Can use boneless thighs instead of breasts. Optional: broil chicken for crispy top. Safe internal temp: 165°F. Great with mashed potatoes, pasta, or crusty bread.
