Method
- Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes.
- Press 2-3 ounces of ground beef directly onto one half of each tortilla. Season with 1/4 teaspoon each of salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Cook beef side down for 2-3 minutes until browned and crispy, without moving.
- Flip the tortilla, sprinkle cheese over the cooked beef, and fold tortilla in half.
- Grill both sides of the folded quesadilla for about 2 minutes each until crispy and cheese is melted.
- Let rest for 1 minute, then slice and serve with your favorite burger toppings or dipping sauce.
Notes
Make sure to season the beef generously and press firmly onto the tortilla. Use medium-high heat for best results and don't overfill with beef. Ground beef should reach internal temperature of 160°F for safety.
