Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup Olive oil Base of the marinade, adds richness.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh lime juice Adds acidity and brightens flavors.
  • 2 tablespoons Apple cider vinegar Adds tanginess and aids in tenderizing.
  • 2 tablespoons Chili powder Brings warmth and depth.
  • 1 tablespoon Ground cumin Adds earthy flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Smoked paprika Provides a smoky flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder Adds savory notes.
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder Contributes subtle sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne pepper Adjust for desired heat level.
  • to taste Salt Enhances all flavors.
  • to taste Black pepper Enhances all flavors.
  • 1 pound Boneless, skinless chicken breasts Main protein for the dish.

Instructions
 

  • Gather all ingredients: olive oil, lime juice, apple cider vinegar, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, pepper, and chicken breasts.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, lime juice, and apple cider vinegar. Add chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well combined.
  • Place chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour marinade over chicken, ensuring each piece is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 8 hours for more flavor.
  • Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Remove chicken from marinade and discard leftover marinade. Grill chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  • Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing to keep the juices locked in.

Notes

This marinade can also be used for shrimp, pork, or tofu. Adjust marinating times accordingly.
