Ingredients
  

  • 500 g Boneless, skinless chicken breast Cut into strips for easy cooking and eating.
  • 2 medium Bell peppers One red and one green, sliced into strips for a colorful presentation.
  • 1 large Onion Sliced into rings to add sweetness and texture.
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil For cooking and marinating, adding richness to the dish.
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika This spice gives a smoky flavor to the chicken.
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Adds an earthy taste that complements the other spices.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne pepper For that extra kick of heat!
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder Enhances the overall flavor profile.

Salt and pepper

  • 8 tortillas Tortillas For serving, choose flour or corn based on your preference.

Garnishes

  • 1/2 cup Sour cream Adds creaminess and balances the spice.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh cilantro Chopped, for a fresh and zesty finish.
  • 2 lime wedges Lime Squeeze over the fajitas for a burst of citrus flavor.

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, combine the chicken strips with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, paprika, cumin, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Slice the onion into rings and the bell peppers into strips. Heat the remaining tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and peppers, sauté for about 5-7 minutes until soft and slightly caramelized.
  • In the same skillet, increase the heat to medium-high and add the marinated chicken strips. Cook for about 7-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until fully cooked and golden brown.
  • Add the sautéed vegetables back into the skillet with the chicken. Stir everything together and let it heat for a couple of minutes.
  • Assemble the fajitas by placing a generous amount of the chicken and vegetable mixture in the center of warm tortillas. Top with sour cream, fresh cilantro, and lime wedges. Roll up the tortillas and serve immediately.
