Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound Large shrimp Peeled and deveined for easy cooking.
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil For sautéing the shrimp.
  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced for flavor.
  • 2-3 pieces Red Thai chilies Finely chopped, adjust based on spice preference.
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh ginger Grated for warmth and spice.
  • 2 limes Juice Freshly squeezed for brightness.
  • 1 piece Lime Zest for enhanced citrus flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons Fish sauce Adds umami flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Brown sugar Balances heat and acidity.
  • to taste Fresh cilantro Chopped for garnish.
  • to taste Salt and pepper To enhance flavors.

Instructions
 

  • In a medium-sized bowl, combine lime juice, lime zest, fish sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and chopped Thai chilies. Stir well until the brown sugar dissolves completely.
  • Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the marinade, ensuring each shrimp is well coated. Cover and let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  • In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.
  • Carefully add the marinated shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle the cooked shrimp with fresh cilantro.
  • Serve the spicy Thai chili lime shrimp immediately, paired with steamed rice or noodles.
