- Cut the stew meat into bite-sized pieces, about 1 to 1.5 inches.
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, minced garlic, black pepper, and any optional ingredients. Add meat and marinate for at least 30 minutes, up to 2 hours.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated meat in a single layer. Sear for 2–3 minutes per side until browned.
- Reduce heat and cook an additional 2–3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Transfer to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped fresh herbs and serve hot.
Notes
Choose well-marbled stew meat for better flavor. Avoid overcrowding the pan. Let the steak bites rest before serving to retain juices. Great as an appetizer or main dish.
