- In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Sauté diced onion until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Add ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Meanwhile, boil salted water in a separate pot and cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Pour vegetable broth into the skillet with cooked beef and stir in heavy cream. Simmer for about 3 minutes until slightly thickened. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
- Combine cooked pasta with the sauce in the skillet, stirring gently to coat evenly. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Serve immediately with extra Parmesan on top.
Notes
Use lean ground beef for healthier option. Fresh minced garlic works better than garlic powder. Grated fresh Parmesan melts better than pre-grated.
