Method
- Boil 4 cups of water in a large saucepan. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the 4 black tea bags. Allow to steep for 5 minutes.
- Remove tea bags and let the tea cool to room temperature.
- In a blender, combine 1 cup of hulled and sliced strawberries with 1/4 cup of honey or sugar. Blend until smooth.
- Add 1/4 cup of fresh basil leaves to the blender and pulse a few times to combine without completely pureeing.
- In a large pitcher, combine the brewed tea and the strawberry basil mixture. Stir well.
- Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Serve over ice cubes and garnish with lemon slices and fresh basil sprigs.
