- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, mixing until just combined.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan, layer half of the sliced peaches, then add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the peaches.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
