Method
- In a small mixing bowl, combine butter, honey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
- Add chicken breasts to the hot skillet and cook undisturbed for 5 to 6 minutes per side, until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Remove cooked chicken from skillet and set aside on a clean plate.
- Pour chicken broth into the same skillet and scrape up all the brown bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Add the prepared butter mixture to the hot broth, stirring constantly over medium-low heat until smooth and well combined.
- Return chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning sauce over each piece. Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
For a creamier sauce, add 2 to 3 tablespoons of heavy cream or coconut milk. Add a pinch of cayenne pepper for heat. Best served fresh with mashed potatoes, rice, or cauliflower rice for a low-carb option. Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken reaches safe internal temperature of 165°F.
