Method
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, melted butter, honey, garlic powder, black pepper, and paprika until smooth and well combined.
- Place salmon fillets on the prepared sheet and brush generously with half the glaze mixture, coating the tops and sides.
- Bake for 8 minutes, then remove from oven and brush with the remaining glaze mixture for extra flavor and shine.
- Return to oven and bake for an additional 8-10 minutes until salmon flakes easily with a fork and internal temperature reaches 145°F.
- Remove from oven and let rest for 2 minutes. Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley and serve immediately while hot.
Notes
Choose salmon fillets of equal thickness for even cooking. Don't skip the second glaze application as it creates the signature shine. For extra caramelization, broil for 1-2 minutes at the end. Serve with roasted asparagus, garlic mashed potatoes, or wild rice pilaf for a complete meal.
